IoT Enclosure Design for Claude Node Desktop Status Device
IoT Enclosure Design for Claude Node Desktop Status Device
Claude Node is a compact IoT enclosure design developed for a desktop status device that helps users monitor AI activity without constantly switching between browser tabs. The device provides clear visual feedback through three status indicators, showing when Claude requires user input, is processing a task, or has completed its work.
For this project, I focused on creating a clean and functional electronic enclosure that fits naturally into a modern computer workspace. The housing was designed around the internal electronics, indicator LEDs, speaker opening, ventilation requirements, USB connectivity, and assembly needs while keeping the overall form compact and easy to manufacture.
The enclosure uses a simple rectangular form with rounded edges, a recessed top interface, side ventilation slots, and clearly positioned ports. The front graphic panel gives the product a recognizable identity while keeping the status information easy to understand at a glance.
This project demonstrates my approach to IoT product design, electronics enclosure design, mechanical CAD, industrial design, prototyping, and design for manufacturing.
Project Scope:
IoT enclosure design, electronic device housing, industrial design, mechanical CAD, component packaging, ventilation design, port integration, LED interface design, prototyping, and DFM.
