This MagSafe lip gloss mirror concept combines a phone-mounted mirror with a sliding makeup tray, keeping two everyday essentials together in one slim accessory. Designed as a magnetic iPhone attachment, it makes quick touch-ups easier while commuting, traveling, or moving between appointments. The compact format gives users immediate access to both the mirror and lip color without carrying a separate case.
The goal was to fit a usable mirror and protected lip gloss compartment into a form that remains comfortable on the back of a phone. The product needed clear open and closed states, an intuitive sliding action, rounded handheld surfaces, and a restrained silhouette that complements modern smartphones. It also needed enough visual character to feel like a beauty product rather than a generic phone accessory.
The enclosure was developed through industrial design, mechanical CAD, assembly modeling, and product visualization. The upper housing frames the mirror, while the lower carriage slides out to reveal the lip gloss pan. Ribbed side details create visual rhythm and provide grip for opening the tray. Soft radii, controlled part breaks, and a low-profile housing help the MagSafe lip gloss mirror feel compact, tactile, and consumer-ready.
Assembly modeling explored the relationship between the mirror housing, gloss carriage, outer shell, and phone-facing attachment surface. The design separates the cosmetic area from the mirror face, protects the lip gloss when closed, and presents a simple pull-and-slide interaction. These decisions create a clear foundation for prototype testing, tolerance refinement, and future design-for-manufacturing work.
Presentation renders show the accessory attached to different phone finishes, plus front, side, open, and closed views. Neutral white, graphite, blush, and blue-grey variants demonstrate how the same architecture can support multiple beauty and lifestyle colorways. A lifestyle scene communicates scale and everyday use, while the multi-view renders make the core interaction easy to understand.
The final concept is supported by CAD geometry and realistic product renders. It communicates the interaction, overall proportions, material intent, and brand-ready appearance for continued prototyping and manufacturing development.
